On 17 October 2015 numerous members of the "RREC Süd" arrived from different corners of Bavaria to go on a tour to Amerang. We started the day with a traditional Weißwurstfrühstück (traditional morning snack consisting of white sausages with sweet mustard and Brezen). After that we took a little tour of the premises in Anzing. Our guests were overwhelmed by our exclusive cars.
After the tour through our show rooms and unique cars selection at Schuttenbach we went over to have white sausages at nicely decorated tables. Manager of Schuttenbach, Wolfgang Deutinger, welcomed the participants and had a little gift for each of them.
Bernd Pischetsrieder, owner of Schuttenbach and Mirbach Automobiles was also on the ground. The former chairman of the board at BMW AG and VW AG invited the guests to take a look at beautiful vintage cars at Mirbach Automobiles, just next door.
After having taken a look around the antique cars, we drove to Amerang on small roads and through beautiful landscape and tiny little villages. Thomas Heigl, who had organised the tour, chose a wonderful route through the Chiemgau area. And despite bad weather forecast the sun was shining.
It is always nice to visit EFA Automobilmuseum in Amerang. 6000 square meters filled with 100 years in car history. We went on a guided tour which was very interesting. Did you know that the 220 cars they have on display are all ready to go? Or did you know that they also have one of the largest model railways in the world? The museum gave us a special show on that one. A truly inspiring excursion!
In the afternoon hours we continued our drive through beautiful landscape in Bavarian autumn. We did not care about the missing sun - it was still dry outside. Our destination: Gut Kaltenbrunn in Gmund, near lovely lake Tegernsee, where we had a wonderful view on the lake.
To finish this wonderful day we had a nice dinner and everyone got along pretty well. Thanks to all the members of RREC Süd for their participation and for the interesting day.
